Community Navigator Program

The Community Navigator is responsible for delivery data to develop the Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP).

In September of 2022, Dr. Shalene Jobin, an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Native Studies as the University of Alberta, submitted a grant application to the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) of Canada to request funding for a joint project supporting governance revitalization in Red Earth Cree Nation (RECN).

Red Earth Cree Nation is one of the community partners of the successful grants chosen for the 2024 Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada winners. Led by Dr. Shalene Jobin, this project will support the local community governance from a Red Earth Cree worldview and perspective.
